The LabourStart conference in Berlin: Global Crisis – Global Solidarity

The LabourStart conference in Berlin opens in just 112 days and we’re getting very excited.

Well over 300 people have registered from all over the world and we hope to see all of you there.

Our team in Berlin is working on the conference agenda now, so if you have any ideas for workshops, want to make presentations, etc, please email them at gisela@labourstart.org

As there are so many of you coming — this promises to be our largest conference so far — it’s very important that you try to book your accommodation in advance.  Details are here.

If you’ve requested solidarity housing we’ve noted that and we’re working on it.

But we cannot guarantee this for everyone, so please do check out all the options we listed on the page.

A very large number of you requested help getting visas to Germany — we’ve written to all of you and are following up as quickly as we can.

I’m very pleased to see that the largest group from outside Germany that have registered so far come from the United Kingdom (where I am based).  If you live in the UK and plan to attend the conference in Berlin, I’d like to invite you to a special pre-conference meeting  on Thursday, 20 February at 18:30 at the TUC, Great Russell Street, London.  At that meeting we can discuss pretty much everything — what will happen at the conference, your ideas and expectations, travel arrangements, and how to get an even larger UK delegation over there.  If you plan to attend this meeting in London, please indicate that on our Facebook event page.
